NASA provides additional resources for electronics and packaging engineers and managers through the following projects:
is an ad-hoc working group which examines electronic parts standardization and qualification issues effecting high-reliability projects as well as the impact of recent part failures.
STANDARDS: The NASA Technical Standards Program: http://standards.nasa.gov/
which provides efficient access to NASA and military standards, specifications, handbooks, codes, and guidelines or guide books that establish uniform engineering and technical requirements for processes, procedures, practices, and methods.
WORKMANSHIP: The NASA Workmanship Project: http://workmanship.nasa.gov/index.jsp
which serves as the agency's technical authority to ensure that adequate workmanship standards and training for electronic hardware are available to NASA, its suppliers, and the aerospace community. The NWTC is responsible for documenting workmanship requirements and design criteria for the manufacture of space flight, aeronautics, and mission critical ground support electronic hardware.
