About Information Management and Dissemination (IMD)

The objective of the Information Management and Dissemination (IMD) Project of the NASA Electronic Parts and Packaging Program (NEPP) is to:

  • Develop and Maintain an Accessible Source of Microelectronics Parts and Packaging Information

  • Serve as the Central Collection and Dissemination Point for NEPP Information and Products
  • Coordinate NASA’s Response to Electronic Parts and Packaging Standardsinline_image

The IMD Project’s primary objective is to energetically disseminate the information that is continuously generated and collected by the NEPP, to all NASA Centers and to our partners. The IMD Project plays a key role in retaining the NASA institutional memory regarding electronic parts and packaging issues and in providing information across the Agency and industry, as well as in sustaining the technical capability of the engineering disciplines throughout NASA.

The IMD Project provides essential information regarding the reliability, performance, availability, application, and cost of electronic parts and packaging technologies through a World Wide Web interface. The users of this information are the NASA programs, other government agencies, and industry.
