Abstract Submission Process
Abstracts should be 250-500 words in length and must be submitted via the abstract submission page (http://nepp.nasa.gov/mapld_2008/abstracts.cfm) on the MAPLD website by May 15, 2008. This
page will prompt the author for (a) name, (b) presentation title, (c) relevant conference topics, (d)
organization or agency, (e) address, (f) country, (g) telephone number, and (h) email address. The
author can then upload the 250–500 word abstract in doc, pdf, or ppt format.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the MAPLD 2008 Conference Program Committee, which will then make selections for the conference oral sessions as well as the poster session. Each author will be notified by email of their selection status by June 7, 2008. Authors of selected abstracts will also be notified of the session (oral or poster) for which they have been selected, and provided instructions
for uploading their presentations (by August 31, 2008).
Regarding Copyrights, Technology Transfer, and Proprietary Information
Obtaining proper clearance for release of information in abstracts and presentations is solely the responsibility of the author. All submitted materials must be free of any copyright restrictions and/or markings. For each presentation, a signed release form will be required by August 31, 2008 stating that the author has obtained proper authorization to freely distribute their submitted presentations in the public domain (both within the United States and internationally).
