Sample Preparation

Each sample is coated with Uralane 5750 with 3 sprays (nominal thickness of 2 mils).

Two types of samples:

Brass substrate with copper flash: this our local plating shop’s standard tin plating.
Brass substrate without copper flash: this is the suggested optimum condition for whiskers to grow.
