This is the preliminary call for participation in the NEPP Program's Annual Electronic Technology Workshop. The meeting will be a two-day event held on June 11-12, 2013 at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. This workshop will provide a wide dissemination to the aerospace community on current and future issues impacting space system design and reliability.

Why attend? This meeting will present the two sides of the NEPP Program's efforts agency-wide:

• Assurance:
  Issues that are applicable to space systems being designed and built (i.e., currently available technologies)
• New electronics technologies:
  Issues that are applicable to the next generation of space systems in conceptualization or preliminary design

Hear the latest NEPP research on radiation, reliability, and qualification methods for space electronics. Presentation topics may include (but are not limited to):

• State-of-the-art commercial devices:
  - Memory technologies and qualification
  - Field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)
        + Non-hermetic package qualification, power and thermal challenges, complexity, radiation
• Advanced CMOS (digital) process technologies
        - Emerging radiation effects, test, and performance prediction guidance
        - Qualification and failure analysis challenges
• System on a chip (SOC) challenges
• Area array packages
• Alternate device technologies
        - GaN, SiGe, SiC, phase change, magnetoresistive, ferroelectric
• Advanced mixed signal devices
• Hybrid and monolithic power devices:
        - Point-of-load DC-DC converters, DC-DC converters, Power MOSFETs
• Radiation Hardness Assurance
• COTS and Assurance
• Information dissemination:
        - NEPP website, NASA Electronic Parts Assurance Group (NEPAG)
• Passives, lead-free initiatives, connectors, and more...
• Special High Reliability Virtual Electronics Center (HiREV) session!

Attendance may be done in-person at GSFC (U.S. citizen only) or via Webex.
