11. PWAs:  Possible shorting potential resulting from contamination

Evidence of wire contamination/debris was found on and in these flight connectors creating a possible shorting potential. This was due to improper trimming and containment of the ends of the metal braided shield.

2. Rejection Criteria. The following are unsatisfactory conditions and shall be cause for rejection: b. Shield Terminations: (1) Loose or projecting strands. (4) Severed shield braid strands.
